The field of IoT usually deals with applications using devices connected over a network, often over a wireless network. Increasing number of IoT applications are producing large volume of data. The field of Connected Cars is one such example. These days, cars come with many built-in sensors that may generate more than 30GB of data per hour. Connected Car environments are definitely shaping up to be data intensive. Similar data intensive IoT environments are emerging in many verticals. Smart homes, smart cities, and smart energy grids are some examples.

The term Big Data often refers to the field of managing, analyzing, and interacting with very large volume of data. Big Data for connected cars and IoT in general is becoming an emerging field. Analyzing data in these domains offers many fundamental challenges because of the distributed nature of the data connected over limited bandwidth wireless networks and high volume of the data among other things. The NGMD'15 will explore Big Data related issues for Connected Cars and IoT. NGDM'15 will have many invited presentations. It will also offer opportunities for everyone to contribute by submitting a paper with an overview of the proposed contribution which will go through a peer-review process. Only selected papers will be chosen for presentation.

We welcome submissions describing state-of-the-art work in the field of Big Data for Connected Cars and IoT covering relevant business and/or technical aspects. We would like to invite extended abstract submissions from business thought leaders, researchers, and practitioners. Submitted papers should not exceed 5 pages. The summit will accept only electronic submission of papers in PDF format to info at kd2u dot org with "NGDM15 Submission" in the subject line.
