Founded in 2008, the Association or Knowledge Discovery in Distributed and Ubiquitous (KD2U) Environments is a nonprofit scientific society devoted to advancing the scientific understanding of the mechanisms underlying creation and extraction of knowledge from information generated in pervasive, distributed, and ubiquitous environments. KD2U also aims to increase public understanding of the knowledge discovery process in different facets of life, improve the teaching and training of practitioners, and provide guidance for research planners and funders concerning the importance and potential of current developments and future directions of Knowledge Discovery in Distributed and Ubiquitous Environments.
