in 2008, the Association or Knowledge Discovery in Distributed and Ubiquitous
(KD2U) Environments is a nonprofit scientific society devoted to advancing
the scientific understanding of the mechanisms underlying creation and extraction
of knowledge from information generated in pervasive, distributed, and ubiquitous
environments. KD2U also aims to increase public understanding of the knowledge
discovery process in different facets of life, improve the teaching and training
of practitioners, and provide guidance for research planners and funders concerning
the importance and potential of current developments and future directions
of Knowledge Discovery in Distributed and Ubiquitous Environments.
